Bob Flynn had an award-winning career in the newspaper profession that lasted more than 30 years. It started in the sports department at The Ledger in Lakeland, Fla., where he worked from 1982-90. He works in marketing and college relations at Virginia Peninsula Community College and is a freelance writer as well as a newly published author of a best-selling short story. He lives in Gloucester, Virginia, with his wife, son, daughter, and daughter-in-law.
