When I think of my childhood, among the memories that make me smile the most are sledding down Tork’s Hill and skating on Mead’s Pond. It’s been more than forty years since I have done either one, but I still remember those times like they were yesterday. I had almost as much fun working on this book, knowing those places mean a lot to others who also grew up in Voorheesville. Here’s hoping I’ll be back to visit soon and take another ride down the hill and a drive past the pond.
